John Guare's sharp, vivacious drama was inspired by the real life
story of a flamboyant young con artist who managed to convince
wealthy residents of Manhattan's Upper East Side he that was the
Harvard graduate son of filmmaker Sidney Poitier. The play is set
in the Fifth Avenue apartment of an art dealing couple who are
visited by a stranger in the night who claims to be a friend of
their children. David Grindley directs Lesley Manville and Anthony Head as the duped couple, and Obi Abili as the con artist. Six Degrees Of Separation contains some nudity and is suitable for theatre goers aged 14 and older. |
