With 82 brawlers and counting in Supercell’s multiplayer mobile game, Brawl Stars, players are spoiled for choice. But with so many brawlers, each with unique abilities, it can be difficult for players to distinguish between the best and worst brawlers.

Epic brawlers sit in the middle when it comes to brawler rarity. They are easier to obtain than mythic and legendary, but harder to obtain than rare and super rare. With a total of 26 epic brawlers currently in the game, it’s key for players to know which ones to unlock first. This list will cover the best epic brawlers, going over their strengths, weaknesses, and how players can use them. 10 Edgar

Self-Healing, Damage Dealing

Edgar is a menace at close range with an attack that saps the life of his enemies and heals himself in the process. For his super, Edgar leaps into the air and gains a brief speed boost when he lands, allowing him to quickly get close to the enemy or escape from a fight depending on the situation. Furthermore, he passively charges his super, making it easier for him to use.

In most close range 1v1 situations, Edgar will come out on top, being able to deal lots of damage while topping up his own health. However, Edgar's short range makes him more difficult to play than other brawlers, particularly if the enemy team keep their distance.

9 Bibi

Three Strikes And The Enemies Are Out

Bibi is a speedy tank who is great at dealing with close-range brawlers. She swings her baseball bat for her regular attack, dealing high damage at a short range and knocking back enemies if her Home Run ability is charged. Her Home Run bar self-charges once her ammo bar is full, and is great at keeping enemy brawlers away. When Home Run is charged, Bibi's star powers come into effect. One gives her a shield which reduces all incoming damage by 20%, making her harder to defeat. The other increases her movement speed by 12%, allowing her to close the gap on long-range brawlers more easily.

For her super, Bibi shoots a huge ball of bubble gum that travels a long distance, going through brawlers and bouncing off walls until it disappears. If used in a tight space, it can do heavy damage by bouncing between walls and damaging enemies each time it hits them.

8 Colette

The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall

Colette is best at dealing with high-health brawlers, as she deals damage equal to 37% of an enemy’s current health. This allows her to do huge damage to tanks, but much less damage to low-health brawlers. For her super, Colette dashes forward and returns, dealing damage equal to 20% of a brawler’s maximum health on both the dash and the return. Her hypercharge makes her super significantly more powerful, particularly in the Heist game mode as it deals huge damage to the Safe.

Additionally, her attack deals 2,000 damage to special targets (Heist Safes and Nita’s Bear, for example), making her great in certain modes and against specific brawlers. However, because of her specificity, there are stronger options in general.

7 Belle

A True Marksman

Belle is a long-ranged brawler who is great at punishing enemies who stay close to one another. After she hits a target with an electro bolt from her marksman rifle, the bolt will bounce to a nearby target, dealing damage before bouncing to the next (up to a maximum of 3). This forces enemies to spread out if they don’t want to get hit by the bouncing bolt, potentially making them easier targets for Belle and her team.

Belle’s super is another reason she is a strong choice. She shoots a shot that marks the enemy it hits. A marked enemy takes 35% more damage from all sources until they are defeated or until Belle marks a different enemy. This super is great at helping Belle and her team to take out any brawler, but is especially useful at bringing down high health tanks much quicker.

6 EMZ

EMZ is one of the best mid-ranged brawlers. Her piercing hair spray attack deals varying damage depending on how far the enemies are away from her. It does one tick of damage at close range, two for the farthest point, and three ticks in the middle. For this reason, EMZ is great at medium range, but struggles against aggressive brawlers who can quickly get close to her. Her Friendzoner gadget is great at combating this weakness as it allows EMZ to push away any brawlers close to her.

EMZ’s super is also powerful, creating an area of effect around her that deals damage and slows down any enemies caught in it. This allows EMZ to briefly control any area of the map she occupies. Plus, it pairs perfectly with her attack. Slowed enemies can’t escape from her hair spray attack, which deals huge damage to enemies caught in the middle of it.

5 Gale

With a wide attack and push back super, Gale is excellent at keeping enemies at a distance. Gale’s regular attack fires six snowballs in a wide formation, making it easy to hit enemies at any range. He may not deal huge damage, but paired with his fast reload speed, Gale is great at pestering enemies. If an enemy does manage to get close, he can use his super to push them away. The closer they are to him, the further they are pushed. Plus, his hypercharge has an even wider range and pushes enemies even further with a double blast.

Both of Gale’s star powers are brilliant. Freezing Snow adds a 0.5 second slow effect to each of his snowballs, making it easier to hit a target multiple times in quick succession. Blustery Blow allows Gale’s super to stun enemies for 1.2 seconds if they are pushed against an obstacle. This can give Gale a free kill depending on how close he is to the stunned enemy.

It's the perfect way for Piper to escape and deal damage to her aggressor.

Another way of dealing with a brawler at close range is her Auto Aimer gadget. It fires a shot that pushes away the nearest enemy and briefly slows them down, giving Piper time to either defeat the enemy with a couple of quick shots, or to escape from them. With her long-range abilities, a Piper who can land her shots is a formidable opponent.

Griff is a brilliant all-round brawler who deals massive damage at close range and good damage at medium to long ranges. Griff’s regular attack shoots three waves of three coins each, which spread out the further they travel. This means that at close range, all nine of Griff’s coins will hit an opponent, while at further ranges, fewer coins are likely to land. His Keep the Change star power increases the speed at which the coins are fired, making it easier to hit enemies at all ranges.

For his super, Griff throws five banknotes that pierce enemies, spread out as they travel, spin in place at max range, and return to him. The further they travel, the more damage they do, giving Griff more damage output at long range and briefly blocking off areas while the cards are spinning.

As the latest epic brawler in Brawl Stars, Berry is a strong support and area control option. He throws melted ice cream onto the ground, which lasts for six seconds, healing teammates and damaging enemies. This allows Berry to control areas of the map while keeping his team alive. Berry’s slow reload speed is one of his weaknesses, but his Floor is Fine star power helps to combat this by increasing his reload speed by 50% when he stands in his own ice cream puddle.

For his super, Berry spins forward, damaging enemies and healing teammates he hits. As he does so, he leaves behind a trail of melted ice cream which acts the same as his regular attack. This can be used to push forward, fall back, or to create a line that helps to lock down an area of the map. Berry can charge his super by healing himself and teammates, meaning he can be more supportive of his team without the side effect of not charging his super.

1 Frank

With this buff to his attack speed and his already fast reload speed, Frank can now unleash huge damage at close to medium range when his health is at 50% or below. Plus, 50% health is still a lot for Frank.
