Holy sh*t.
Those words keep repeating through my head as I stare at the dark-haired, gorgeous guy in front of me.
I’m in complete and utter shock.
This…this is absolutely insane.
How is this even possible?
Yet here he is, standing in my bedroom, looking at me with those piercing eyes, and I can’t process any of it.
I reach out a shaky hand and Kinan catches it, his long, slender fingers closing around my wrist.
His skin is warm, much like his body when he’d held me against him in my dream.
It was so real, and I’d felt so safe.
My heart beats faster as he pulls me to my feet and I struggle to find my voice.
"Is this real?"
My words are barely audible, but Kinan hears them.
He gives me a slight nod as he pulls me closer until I collide with his hard chest.

I wrap my arms around his waist instinctively, feeling the solidness of him beneath my touch.
His breath is warm against my hair, grounding me in this surreal moment.
Just then, the door bursts open and Lyra storms in, her eyes widening as she takes in the scene.
“Elara! What the—” she starts but stops short when she sees Kinan.
Her mouth hangs open for a second before she snaps it shut.
“Who the hell is this?”
I pull back slightly from Kinan, though his arms remain securely around me.
“Lyra, this is Kinan,” I say, trying to keep my voice steady.
“He’s...he’s from ‘From Blood and Ash.’”
Lyra’s eyebrows shoot up.
“You mean that book you’re obsessed with? The one you’ve been dreaming about?”
“Yes,” I reply, glancing up at Kinan who remains silent but attentive.
“I don’t know how it happened, but he’s here.”
Lyra steps closer, her skepticism evident.
“This has to be some kind of joke or hallucination,” she mutters.
She reaches out tentatively and pokes Kinan’s arm.
He doesn’t flinch; instead, he looks down at her with an amused expression.
“Believe me,” he says in a deep voice that sends shivers down my spine.
“I am very real.”
Lyra’s eyes widen further as she retracts her hand quickly.
“Okay...okay,” she says slowly.
“So what now?”
I take a deep breath, trying to gather my thoughts.
“We need to figure out what’s going on,” I say firmly.
“And see if there are any limits to this...power.”
Kinan finally releases me and steps back slightly, giving us space.
“I agree,” he says simply.
Lyra nods, her initial shock giving way to curiosity.
“Alright then,” she says with determination.
“Let’s do this.”
We decide to explore the possibilities by venturing into the world of “From Blood and Ash.”
I grab the book from my nightstand and flip it open to a random page.
“Hold onto me,” I instruct both Kinan and Lyra as I focus on the words before me.
The room begins to blur around us as the text seems to come alive under my fingertips.
Suddenly, we’re no longer standing in my bedroom but in a dense forest with towering trees and dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves.
Lyra gasps beside me while Kinan remains calm and vigilant.
“This is incredible,” Lyra whispers in awe.
Before I can respond, a rustling sound catches our attention.
Kinan tenses immediately, his hand moving to the hilt of his sword.
“We’re not alone,” he warns quietly.
My heart races as I scan our surroundings for any signs of danger.
Out of nowhere, a figure emerges from the shadows—a cloaked stranger whose face is hidden beneath a hood.
“Who are you?” I demand, trying to keep my voice steady despite the fear creeping up inside me.
The stranger doesn’t answer but raises a hand towards us.
A blinding light erupts from their palm and everything goes white.
When my vision clears again, we’re back in my bedroom—but something feels off.
Kinan’s grip tightens around his sword as he scans the room warily.
